The Grid

Here is one of my grids, I am currently having trouble uploading more images to the blog, I am getting a message saying the format is unrecognizable, but they are the same format as everything else I've uploaded in the past? I know there is a funky gap in the middle of the top two rows, I am going to keep trying to upload the others because they are better than this one.

Assignments 2 & 3 - Discovered Design & The Grid

Assignments 2 & 3 are now complete!  I think it's pretty cool how all the grids came from Chaos.  I had a lot of fun with these assignments.  Can't wait to see everyone else's!

Discovered Design

Here is the first segment from the discovered design assignment. I loved simplicity and this project was very enjoyable and relaxing for me. When I broke the larger image up into smaller pieces I found that I liked taking different sizes better than keeping the tiles the same size. To the left of the image is the cut outs and my arrangement. I am not so happy with the way it turned out so I am going to keep playing with it a little more. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

My name is Alicia Thiede, and I am in my junior year at Albertus and am majoring in Human Services. I have taken a graphic design course, andreally enjoyed it! I was having some trouble downloading the Photoshop programs, but think that I have it figured out! I will be working on my dot projects, and hope to have them posted tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Dots-First Attempt

Hello everyone. I am having a very tough time understanding Photoshop. I can't figure out how to add a border....or is it already added?? Anyways, here are my first attempts at the dot assignment. I am meeting with a woman who was a graphic design major in college tomorrow for a brief tutorial so I am hoping to improve these images and add better ones by the end of the day tomorrow. I'm using Photoshop Elements 6.

*Note* After uploading my two images I can see that there are no borders.....I will add them!

Week One

Hello Everyone! I'm Jen Liseo (yes, I'm a Cowboys fan) and am a psychology-art therapy major in Albertus' ADP program, slated to graduate this May. I've taken digital photography I and II in the past so when you visit my fotothing, check out my adorable little one! (She's turning two very soon!) I'm very excited to take this course as I am really unfamiliar with Photoshop and always wanted to learn about the program (my 7th and 8th grade students can use it better than I can!). HELLO EVERYONE! My name is Evanis but that’s pronounced Evanys. I am 22 years of age and I have a strive to take over the world HaHa. Just kidding I want to travel the world I like to see different point of views and picture my self if I had grown in that environment. I plan on owning my own business one day gone through many ideas on were to start but haven’t yet decided what type of business I want. I love the selling and marketing world. I want to be someone one day who can say I actually got somewhere and I did it on my own. I come from a poor family and its about time someone breaks that chain. I like to have fun and hang out with the people I love. I thing I am going to enjoy this class very much because I like to analyze things weather it’s a portrait I look at it and put my self in that person who created it shoes to see what they were thinking. Hi Everyone!

My name is Kali Slater and I am 21 years old.  I just recently enrolled in Albertus' Accelerated Degree Program, and am working towards a Bachelor's in Marketing.  This is my first semester at Albertus, as well as my first Art class, so I am eager to see what's in store!

I love my family and spend a lot of time with them.  Above is a picture of my brother and me the night before his wedding.  I love sports, baking and just hanging out.  I can be shy when I first meet someone, but once I am comfortable you can't shut me up.
